Ms. Demel is a strong advocate for the arts and knows first hand that it allows us to use our higher power thinking skills. Art is cross-curricular, and it challenges our understanding of the world. Art opens doors toward creativity. It is a celebration of the self and of others. Art is capable of creating a discussion where discussion would never otherwise be had, and it respects multiple perspectives. Art allows us to question the world around us, it can give us hope, and it can evoke change. For these reasons and more, Ms. Demel is passionate about the arts, and she always looks forward to working with and being inspired by the students of Flatonia ISD.
