Public Notice to Apply for Federal Funds (English)


Texas Education Agency (TEA) General Provisions and Assurances, Section GG, General Education Provisions Act (GEPA), as Amended, Applicable to All Federal Programs Funded or Administered through or by the US Department of Education, states the general application submitted by a local educational Agency (LEA) shall set forth these assurances:


The LEA "will provide reasonable opportunities for the participation by teachers, parents, and other interested agencies, organizations, and individuals in the planning for and operation of each program" and "that any application, evaluation, periodic program plan or report relating to each program will be made readily available to parents and other members of the general public" per 20 USC 1232(e).


Flatonia ISD, hereby gives notice to the public that it intends to file the following application for federal grant funds with the Texas Education Agency, i.e., the state educational agency.


Any member of the community wishing to provide a comment regarding the district's application for such grant is invited to submit those comments to the district directly to It is also noted that the public will have a chance to communicate any concerns at the June Board of Trustees meeting.
